Corewilds is a browser-based voxel sandbox game. You explore a procedurally generated world, gather resources, craft tools and weapons, fight creatures, and protect land with Terra Claims. This guide covers everything you need to start playing.
Controls
Corewilds uses standard FPS-style controls:
- W, A, S, D — Move forward, left, backward, right
- Mouse Look — Look around and aim
- Left Click — Break blocks / Attack
- Right Click — Place blocks / Use item
- E — Interact with objects (workbench, chests, machines)
- Space — Jump
- Shift — Sprint (uses stamina)
- 1–9 — Select hotbar inventory slot
- T — Open chat
- Tab — Open full inventory screen
- F3 — Toggle debug overlay (coordinates, FPS, chunk info)
- Esc — Release mouse / Open pause menu
First Steps
When you spawn into the world, you start with no tools. Your first goal is to gather basic resources:
- Punch trees — Break wood blocks to collect wood. This is your most basic resource.
- Gather stone — Find exposed stone on hillsides or dig down to find stone blocks.
- Craft a workbench — Open your inventory (Tab) and use wood to craft a workbench. Place it with right click.
- Make tools — Interact (E) with your workbench to craft a wooden pickaxe, then a stone pickaxe for faster mining.
- Find shelter — Hostile mobs like zombies and skeletons appear. Build walls or dig into a hillside for safety.
Mining
Mining is the core resource loop. Different block types have different hardness levels. Better pickaxes mine faster and can break harder materials. Look for ore veins underground — iron ore, gold ore, and rare Core Shards in deep caves.
Survival Tips
- Always carry food. Cooked fish from a campfire restores health.
- Craft armor as soon as possible to reduce damage from mobs.
- Use torches or light sources in caves to see and reduce mob spawns.
- The F3 debug overlay shows your coordinates, which helps you find your way back.
- Sprint uses stamina; manage it carefully when fighting or fleeing.
